Cin1 year wait

Hi,

 

My daughter was told she had cin1+hpv after a biopsy. They said come back for another smear in a year. I noticed alot if not all others have been invited back after 6 month not a year like my daughter. Considering she has had problems since the age of 20 and she is 25 now

    I'm sorry to hear that your daughter's recent biopsy has shown CIN1 and HPV. It'sunderstdnable that you may both be feeling anxious about this. 

    There's some information available on the Jo's Trust website about monitoring cervical cell changes which may be of help. They also have a helpline you can call for more information or alternatively you're welcome to call our nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. If your daughter still has questions or is unhappy with the wait in any way then do encourage her to get back in touch with her GP or the gynaecology team who will be best placed to answer some of those questions.
