Lump back again after surgery and radiotherapy

Hi everyone

I had a phyloids tumor last year which needed two surgeries and radiotherapy, I recently had an MRI which the results said they were difficult to interpret so I had to go in for an ultrasound , the man said that there was another lump and I'm seeing my usual surgeon next Thursday, does this mean it could have returned or it's something completely different? It's in the same place . He kept saying there was an enchanment on the MRI

  • Hello Scaredpatient1188

I'm sorry ot hear that your recent MRI and ultrasound have shown an area that needs further investigation. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what this could be. Hopefully, your Consultant will be able to give you some firmer answers when you see them next week.

In the meantime, I'd suggest giving our team of nurses a call to chat things through with them. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice, information, and support that they can as well as help you think about some of the questions that you might want to ask. If you'd like to talk with them they're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch and let us know how you get on next week.

    Best wishes,
