High PH of 55 in stool sample

Extremely high PH, urgent appointment being referred. For the last 8\9 months I've had extreme stomach cramps, diarrhoea, constipation, vomiting, and mega blood in pan when I have diarrhoea. I was in hospital had IV fluids and antibiotics,  CT scan with dye, but no diagnosis. To say I'm worried yes I am , hospital asked my Dr to do follow up Stool test it's back with reading of 55. Can anyone explain more to me , I've asked loads questions to nurse and Dr but just get , we will do further tests x

    I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with ongoing health problems for quite some time now. We know that this period of waiting for a diagnosis can be difficult for many people and it's natural that you feel worried and have questions. 

    It's good to hear that you now have an urgent referral to the specialist team. Hopefully, they will be able to give you a firm diagnosis soon and set you on the path to improving things. 

    Whilst you're waiting for a firm diagnosis I wonder if you might find it helpful to get in touch with Bowel and Bladder UK. They have lots of information on their website as well as a Helpline and some useful resources. 

    I do hope that you have some answers and that things improve for you soon.

    Thank you for your reply , I've to phone hospital on Monday and they will possibly be able to give me a date and time for appt , it's the Colorectal clinic I'm going to be seen at xx
