Hello,
I'm 26 and I had an new raised mole appear about 2 years ago, in the middle of lockdown which seemed fine in accordance with the abcde guidelines so I left it. I am very pale with a lot of moles, but I'm careful in the sun and don't have a family history of cancer.
However, recently I started to notice that it was a bit crusty and sore reasonably often so I went to see the GP who's referred me to the dermatologist with the urgent 2 week appointment.
I've got one booked in now, until not until 18th so it was longer than 2 weeks. But I'm feeling so anxious and just thinking worst case scenario.
I'm trying not to Google or stress about it too much. But I keep falling back into the pattern of worrying about the worse case, or thinking any other tiny grievance might be a cancer symptom and sign that something has spread.
Does anyone have any tips or advice of how they coped with the worry waiting for appointments and results to come through?
Thank you!
