Pagets

Good morning

The Dr tells you not to worry but you worry on a level you've never worried before!

Is there anyone here that has heard or been diagnosed with Paget's disease of the Breast and can give me their story of any symptoms or signs

I have just been referred and my mind is all over the place

Much appreciated in advance

  • Hello coco_chanel2925 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

I can imagine your mind is all over the place at the moment after being referred. I know it's easier said than done to follow your doctor's advice not to worry but try if you can not to anticipate too much and take one day at a time while you are waiting to find out more. Avoid looking things up online too as this will only make you more anxious. Waiting really is the hardest thing and there are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news.

I've had a look on our forum and I have found this thread by [@Donna1965uk]‍ which may be of interest to you. [@Donna1965uk]‍ has previously been diagnosed with Paget's Disease and has had the surgery so she may be a great person for you to  talk to if you are diagnosed with Paget's Disease.

There is information on our website on Paget's Disease of the Breast which you may want to have a look at and which I hope will answer any questions you may have.

Our nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you would like to talk things through with them. Their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm so don't hesitate to give them a call at any time.

Keeping everything crossed for you that you get some definite answers soon!

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Lucie

Thank you so much for the time you have taken to respond and search for people with their stories on this particular topic.

I realise looking and exploring the web for information is not ideal and I will take on board your friendly advice.

    Thank you again  ♥️
