4 weeks and still waiting for a colonoscopy appt. What do I do?

I was sent by gp for urgent colonoscopy blood found in poo. Consultant online said I'd be given an appointment.? Been 4 weeks waiting. Worried. Mum died of cancer of colon. I have diverticulitis. What do I do?

Due to COVID - there are less appointments available where I live - not sure where you are though.
I lost most of my family from various types of that vile CANCER.
Was that Consultant from a hospital?
