Thickening of the womb

Hi I'm 27 and have been experiencing a change in periods (I have 2 per month), spotting inbetween, pelvic/back pain and very painful ovulation. I had a ultrasound today and it was done by a Dr. She told me there is a part of my womb which has thickened in the lining and it will require more in depth examination and biopsies. Should I be worried about endometrial cancer? Given the massive shift in periods and pains etc I KNEW something wasn't right..

I had a ultrasound in January which was completely normal but now in June it has changed?
