2cm lymph node in clavicle

I have a 2cm enlarged lymph node in right supraclavicular and a 1cm node in my left supraclavicular, GP done all possible bloods, I have folate aneamia which I have had for years. He measured the lump and just said will keep an eye on it.

I tire out really easily, get short of breath when going uphill or climbing stairs suffer night sweats and also have them during the day, I feel so run down all the time, started suffering with swelling in fingers and ankles.

I had a 2nd appointment booked for GP but they cancelled it and I had to rebook for 2 weeks later. I already have a history of ovarian cancer and had full hysterectomy at age 23. I feel like my GP just keeps brushing me off.

Can I demand a biopsy of the enlarged lymph nodes or do I have to go along with just being brushed off.

  • Hi Smr,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you've been experiencing - I can understand this must be frustrating too to feel like you're not getting any answers.

In terms of the situation with the GP, you have the option of getting a second opinion with a different doctor.

You could also call NHS 111 to see what they say.

Lastly, if you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses then you are welcome to give them a call on 0808 800 4040 (Monday-Friday, 9-5).

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
