Cystoscopy - something found

I've just had a cystoscopy to investigate microscopic traces of blood in my wee. It's been going on for a year, had untrasound of kidneys, ovaries, womb etc over last few months, all clear. So it was going fine until they saw something at the entrance to my bladder, the urethra. It looked like a sea anemone or seaweed or something, the ends we're floating around. He said he didn't know what it was but that it wasn't supposed to be there so I needed a biopsy, we decided to do it there and then. Results in two weeks. I'm really worried about his reaction, he seemed panicked all of a sudden. I asked him if he thought it was cancer and he said it's most likely benign but can't say until the results are back. I'm 36, no risk factors and with two young children. Anyone had something similar that turned out to be benign? Scared
