Worries about breast cancer

I have suffered with eczema since I was a child. Only the past 2 years has it come back more servere. Over the past few weeks my right nipple has been dry cracked and itchy. Initially I put it down to eczema and just started creaming it up with my usual ointment however it is not getting any better. I turned to google as was surprised how the cream didn't work on my nipple but works everywhere else when I found that it's rare to have eczema on the nipple itself. Reading more into it Iv come accross pagents and now I have turned from very relaxed to could this be what's happening?

i have had a feel for lumps but my breasts are very fatty and lumpy and if I'm honest I don't have a clue how to differentiate the two.

i don't want to trouble the doctor I have been visiting them a lot over the past year due to other medical issues and don't want them to look at me as this hypochondriac which if I'm honest I quite frankly am.
has anyone else had anything similar

main issues are

nipple sensitivity

nipple gets hard constantly

dry skin and itchiness directly on the nipple

there is no rash or redness that I can see but you can tell it's extremely dry

i know people will suggest contacting the gp as that is what they are there for but really I am looking for similar cases studies if that's ok. Thank you!

  • Hi

I'm 35 and have this exact issue. Back and forth to the gp as my skin around my nipple was red and peeling off with a awful red rash.  I've never suffered with eczema before but they were telling me that's what I had.  Been back and forth with various different creams but still no better.

There is no sign of any eczema or rash anywhere else on my body

I've since found what I believe to be a lump (altho I have lumpy breasts so it's hard to tell, this is rock hard like a marble)

I suffer with heath anxiety so am just a mess at the moments waiting for a appointment

I hope you're OK and here if you want to talk x
