CA125 of 118

Hi I'm desperate for some advice/reassurance. I had a raised ca125 of 35 in 2019 and clear ultra sounds. I had a blood test this Tuesday and the doctor called me today to say my CA125 is 118 and I need to be seen by gyne immediately. I also have alot of the symptoms such as bloating, heart burn, always need a pee and weight gain. Please help

    I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health problems at the moment and that you're waiting on a referral to see the gynaecologist. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious. 

    A raised CA125 does not automatically mean that you will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer. A raised CA125 can be caused by other problems but it is important that things are investigated further so hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your appointment.

    Hi,

    I have also had a similar situation. I had a level of 44 in may and repeat test in June showed it had increased to 96. I have now had another test 1 week after my latest result and it's down to 42. 
    the first two times I had my bloods taken I was on my period, the last result was 1 week after my period had finished so I'm guessing menstruation had a part to play. 
     

    were u on your period at all?
