Hi, so sorry to hear your news.  I have never been on one of these sites before, but I have been drawn to it today.  I am at a similiar stage as yourself.  I went to my GP over 2 weeks ago with a hard mass in my left breast, I was then given a referral which the doctor said I would hear back within 2 weeks.  Well the 2 weeks has now passed.  On following up I have been told the waiting time is more like 4-6 weeks.  The thought of waiting so much longer is driving me insane.  This is my outlet, I have only discussed all of this with my husband as I really don't want to worry the rest of the family when realistically it will just be a cyst or something not canceous, but it doesn't stop you worrying or being scared, like you say.  I contacted a Cancer Charity this morning who basically said to hound my GP for any other hospitals I could travel to further away, I said I'd get on a plane if I could.  Also email my MP and the Hospital Commision, basically make as much fuss as possible.

I hope you have better luck with you referral.  I am going to try and put it to the back of my mind an tell myself it's nothing serious and stay busy, I hope you do the same too x

Hi mpbsskh, I am so sorry you are having to wait, it must be torture. You should definitely chase it up. My friends at work know as I had to leave work for the doctors appointment. I didn't tell my hubby I was going to the doctors as I was hoping I was imagining the lump, so he got a bit if a shock when I told him. Sending you lots of positive hugs. Please keep me up to date and please chase up your appointment x
