Feeling anxious about the results

Hi everyone!

Just joined the forum. I'm a Chinese student studying in the UK and recently I found myself having a bit of ear problems.

I went to my GP. And the doctor found that i had a swollen lump on my neck. GP referred me to the ENT department at a bigger hospital. The doctor said it might be nasopharyngeal cancer, which is quite common back from where I'm from.

I did my blood test, MRI scan, CT scan and biopsy in my nose the other day, and I'm waiting for the results. I'm super scared and anxious as my parents are still in China now. And it is difficult for them to travel to the UK now.

I guess my question is asked by a lot of people. How much time should I expect to hear from NHS for the results?

I know this can vary for different situations. But for me, this is quite important because I have to decide whether I should get back to China for the treatments or do the treatments in the UK. If I decide to get treatments in China, I might need to quarantine for 14 days and do all the scans and tests all over again.
