Hi [@Moderator Jenn]‍ Thank you so much for your reply, I really appreciate it. Unfortunately I didn't get on too well today but not due to bad news as such. I feel really conflicted about this morning. Genuinely had the rudest, uncaring doctor I've ever seen. Didn't introduce herself, made me feel really stupid and belittled. She didn't listen to anything I had to say and kept cutting me off mid sentence. Said she couldn't feel any lump and said the pain I'm experiencing is normal. I explained to her that I can't feel the lump lying down and showed her exactly where the doctor and myself had found the lump (and I could feel it there and then) when sitting up and she didn't even feel it properly.  Just kept dismissing me abruptly even when I said I'd developed new symptoms over the last couple of days such as itchy nipple and discharge and I tried to explain what my GP had found as he was so thorough and careful examining me.  She just said it's normal hormonal symptoms. She said "I can tell by your face that your not happy with my answer. Do you WANT a scan?" Really sarcastically. I said yes to put my mind at ease etc and she just said "there's really no point, you're wasting their time because there's absolutely nothing there" left the room on the verge of tears. Should be getting my scan in the next week or so. Even if the scan comes back clear and it is normal tissue like she's saying it is, at least I can go back to my GP so we can figure out why I'm in so much pain and discomfort. I'm 32 and have never experienced breast pain and discomfort like this other than when I developed mastitis when I breastfed 12 years ago. The symptoms I'm experiencing are not normal for me whatsoever and I feel really let down and not listened to. I don't really know what to do and feel very hurt.

I'm so sorry to hear how your appointment went today. It's understandable that you're feeling unheard and hurt. 

I am glad to hear that you will be having an ultrasound and hopefully this will give you some peace of mind and as you say, you can then go back to the GP and together try to figure out what is going on for you. 

With regards to your experience in the breast clinic, you may want to consider feeding back what happened this morning to the hospital PALS team. Their role is to offer confidential advice, support, and information on health-related matters and help resolve concerns or problems when you're using the NHS. 

I really do hope that the ultrasound gives you some reassurance but also that your GP is able to help improve things for you soon.

Thank you [@Moderator Jenn]‍ I really appreciate your support and the link to PALS. I'll definitely look into it as I would hate for others to experience what I experienced today. Fingers crossed for the ultrasound being clear and hopefully I'll get some answers soon.

The doctor didn't need to be abrupt when you were at the clinic everyone's worried and needs to feel listened to. Go for the scan and see what they say it may be fine and you can feel reassured that it has been checked. 
l have an open appointment for the breast clinic and can make an appointment with them if l am worried, lve had lots of surgery ect, but my last visit six weeks ago was total opposite to yours. 
I have been referred to another clinic and they were checking that l have an appointment and nothing has changed since March
