Advice about possible ovarian/endometrium cancer??

Has anyone gone through either ovarian or endometrial cancers?

Who can advise on the processes involved? I've got suspected ovarian cancer, just had bloods taken and awaiting mri.

I just wanted to know how long others have waited, whether they had high tumor markers and all was ok/benign?

Absolutely petrified of receiving these results.

  • Hiya, I had endometrial cancer. Diagnosed in Feb this year after a scan and biopsy. Had a total hysterectomy in March, done by keyhole , and recovering well. Tests were done on everything that was removed and pleased to say it was stage 1a grade 1 - slow growing early cancer which was removed totally, no further treatment need. Just have to have check ups every few months.
Best of luck  to you c

  • I was the same I'm post op after a full hysterectomy at 42

My story's a little bit different though I had a laproscopy July 2021 and a standard biopsy taken

12th April 2022 I got a call from the hospital to go in ASAP to be told my biopsy was cancer and the results got sent to a doctor that no longer works there so I was ablivious that I was living life with an  undiagnosed endometrium cancer for nearly a year the hospital auditor came across my results

The ct showed it hadn't spread and the coil fitted during my op probably saved my life due to it being contained around that area

I'm recovering well however I'm only 42 I won't have the chance to have more children and heading into early menopause but I'm still here

Try and stay positive ano its hard I was a nervous wreck waiting on results and the actual surgery went really well and my pathology results came back 2 days ago saying I'm cancer free

    Hope your ok

  • I had a colonoscopy for left sided abdo pain and they found complex ovarian cysts, l was seen by gynaecology oncology last June and had MRI and trans vaginal ultrasounds, as they had not shrunk they were removed 8 weeks later.
There were extensive adhesions that made the op take 4 1/2 hours!  They took multiple biopsies but 5 weeks later my surgeon rang to say all benign, and discharged me.
l hope you have a similar experience take care
