Ct scan results blood in urine

My partner has had blood in his urine and found a small lump in his testicle which is painful. He went to the doctors today and was told to go to A&E. They did a CT Scan but no results as of yet. The doctor then looked at his testicles and felt the lump, when he squeezed it, it made my partner feel sick. He was told he would need an ultrasound and he would receive a call within the next few days. I am so worried, I feel sick to the pit of my stomach. Can anyone else make me feel at ease or reassure me. I feel like my life is on pause waiting for these results.

  • Hello Charlottelianne92

I'm sorry to hear that your partner has had some recent health concerns and that he's now waiting for an ultrasound scan. it's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

I think that many of our members here will agree that this period of waiting for tests and results can be particularly difficult. Facing the unknown can be a scary prospect. Hopefully he won't have to wait too long for the ultrasound and the Dr will be able to give him some reassuring news soon.

It can be tempting but try to avoid searching google for information during this period of waiting. You won't find answers but you likely will be left feeling more worried. Instead, if you'd like to chat things through with one of our team of nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any information and support that they can.

Do let us know how he gets on.

    Best wishes,

  • Hiya, in my teens, i was in hospital for 2 ultrasounds for two very similar sounding lumps. Both times it was inflammation of the tubes, even though it felt like they were attached to the testicle. Could barely walk first time. Had to crawl into the hospital. I'm not joking either. A nurse gave me a wheelchair.

Was given antibiotics (the only antibiotics that have ever knocked me for 6).

Iirc, and because many years have past since then, the first doctor that did the US said cancerous lumps don't tend to hurt. If they do, it tends to be a sorta ache, not pain that makes you hit the ceiling.

No idea about the blood in the urine, as i never had that part. But could it be 2 separate issues? Like a kidney or bladder infection? Does he feel off, like he has something brewing away? Has he got back pain? Infections can do that.
