I’m so scared I’m going to die of breast cancer!!

Hey everyone! About 2 weeks ago I noticed a lump in the inner breast(doesn't stick out) when I pressed on this lump it hurt so I went to my GP the next day and she referred me after feeling 2 lumps, I've got an appointment next week to get examined further but I've been researching online and it says the hospital might not give me a biopsy if they don't suspect cancer and I'm scared they'll get it wrong and think it's not cancer but it is and not bothering to do the biopsy but online it says biopsy is the only true way to see you don't have breast cancer, also I've been feeling really tired and sick recently and I researched these symptoms and they were breast cancer symptoms and I have a 1 year old son and I'm just so scared for next week, I feel like my boyfriend and family just don't understand and think I'm being silly for worrying.
just wondering if anyone else had any suggestions of what this lump could be to put my mind at ease till my appointment?? Thank you:))))

  • Hi Shygirl88.  I am not going to tell you not to worry, because obviously you ARE worried, and you have the right to feel the way you do.  I have had breast cancer twice (still got it in fact) and on both occasions, I had no pain.  I could feel the lumps, but no pain.  I had no sickness...........in fact, I didn't have any of the 'normal' signs that I had breast cancer, but of course, everyone is different.  Very often these breast lumps turn out to be completely harmless.  Personally, I would strongly advise AGAINST googling anything on-line about your health because you will end up convinced that you have got every illness under the sun.  Good luck, Violet, x

  • Thank you so much to posting and reaching out, I know Googling will make it worse but I can't help myself. im really sorry to hear that you've cancer, im hoping you've a speedy recovery and good luck too! If you ever need to chat I'm here :) X
