Symptoms of colorectal cancer

I have a history of a 2 Yr rectal prolapse with a large lump and a smaller lump within the prolapse wall. These  hard nodular lumps were undetected by colonoscopy as they are not on the surface. I have regular bleeding and pass huge amounts of mucous and now have to manually evacuate to pass faeces because the lumps now get in the way. I have nighttime temperatures and my iron is just maintaining within range, when I used to have a high range hb. I have lost weight, have episodes of horrendous pain despite morphine patches, oral morphine and tramadol. The drs have postponed an anterior posterior resection for a reason not known. I am scared and feel so unwell. I feel fobbed off by drs that have said they can't exclude tumours but don't seem to be doing anything, it's all so distressing and I know this all feels so wrong

  • Hi Sophia266,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the difficulties you're experiencing and that the appointment has been postponed. I'm not sure how much communication you've had with your doctor about how you're feeling, but if you are struggling and you're concerned about the time it's all taking, speak to your doctor to flag this, and perhaps things can be hurried along a little.

I hope things ease for you soon and that you're able to get the appointment sorted.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben
