FNA Biopsy results wait time

Is it normal for FNA thyriod nodule biopsy results to take 3 weeks

I got told my results should be back within 2 weeks

but come Monday it will be 3 weeks and I assumed that because of the jubilee weekend it would not be this week

I'm in Ireland and our system is totally different, but I got an appointment for the results exactly a week after the biopsy. So it is definitely possible for the results to be processed in less than a week.
A wait like that sounds like it could be reassuring though. Of course you can never know, but I always feel they get back to you fairly quickly if there is anything to worry about.
