Swollen Lymph Nodes in Kids

Hello, so my 3 year old has had a swollen lymph node for about a year now, we've been doctors and hospital and they've said they're fighting infections however they've never actually gone.
Few weeks ago we've finally been referred for blood tests, and after more googling I've found out they can't actually diagnose lymphoma with those.. wishing they'd have given her appointments for scans etc now. He said there are a few lymph nodes there, swollen, with only 2 visible, didn't say if they're hard, or moveable, or what not.
So my question is, anyone else experienced these? Has it turned out to be nothing? As you can imagine I'm really really scared
Any advice is appreciated

  • Hi Charleypickle

My little cousin had this, he was three at the time and the lymph nodes on his neck were huge. He was in the hospital for about 4 days with all sorts of tests performed and they found nothing and didn't know why the nodes were raised. He had them for a while before they started to go down but can't remember exactly how long that took. He is now a happy and healthy 5 year old.

Blood tests can help when looking at possible Lymphoma but I would imagine there would be other symptoms. that you and the doctors would have picked up.

I hope everything turns out okay x
