My husband has been coughing blood for a few months and had alot of tests to try and locate the source of the issue. Bronchoscopy, CT scan, blood tests, breathing tests, nuclear CT scan. And they couldn't locate the cause. He had a random referral to ENT which he's not sure is related to this issue or the fact he suffers chronic ear infections due to issues from when he was younger. The ENT Dr was insistent to do a nasendoscopy (if that's right) and my husband almost denied as he said the Bronchoscopy went through his nose, and they would've seen any issues then.
Anyway, long story short, she located a "large nasopharyngeal mass" she has referred him for a MRI and for a biopsy but I have so many questions. He's only 25 white british male and had suffered none of the symptoms of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. As far as I can find coughing blood isn't a symptom? Can anyone shed and light or experience in the matter. Obviously we are both worried sick. But any searching isn't bringing up anything really other than cancer and some other types of growth which again he doesn't really fit the criteria for.
