Lump on rib

Hi everyone, I hope your all having a lovely day

i just wondered if anyone could offer any advice, I have a hard lump on my rib (about 2-3cm) that has developed over the course of a year and have just been referred for a blood test and ultrasound by my gp. I gave up with googling as it was only offering worst case scenario answers and was making me feel anxious. I know there could be many reasons as to why this lump has appeared but My doctor mentioned the word sarcoma and it sent me into a little bit of a spiral. I am otherwise relatively healthy and am still a teenager so I think it would be unlikely that it is anything serious but I also know there is still the chance and it's just making me feel a bit worried.

I just thought I would come on here to see if anyone has had any similar experiences or could offer any advice?

I was in a really simiilar position to yourself, I found a lump on my rib, on the side if that makes sense? The bottom left rib, you curl your fingers underneath and it can be felt, mine is 1-2cm, and I found it because one day when I bent over, I felt a slipping/popping sensation under that rib! So I poked around and found it, worried a whole bunch over it, went to the doctors once, who said it was my spleen? Which was weird, it was incredibly hard, like bone, and I know spleen can become sort of hard, but not bone hard! Anyway, I went again, and this other doctor clearly felt it, and she was certain it was my rib end! I should've asked why it's only rearing it's head now, at 21, but I didn't anyway, I'm sure you'll get similar news hopefully!
