Hi all,
So a long one here but looking for any advice on similar symptoms as I'm at breaking point! 33 years old with 3 little ones.
Lower right abdominal pain started in November 2019, very intermittent, short and felt like stabbing/twisting. Maybe once or twice a week. Gradually this has increased and since January it's at a whole new level with more symptoms which include
Severe lower back pain daily, by bedtime I have to ease into bed, once flat I can get comfortable.
Some days feeling very unwell, weak and can just about manage to take little ones to school
Daily headache since January
Constant lower right abdominal pain, stabbing short and twisty feeling
Daily Nausea some days worse than others
New symptom appeared in the last 5 weeks which is a hard lump deep down in left side of abdomen with on off localised pain. My GP can feel it but as it's deep down he said it's hard to determine shape and size, and I keep getting indigestion type pain even when I haven't eaten anything. I have tried the FOD map diet, doesn't make a difference and my symptoms aren't effected by food. Some nights it's uncomfortable to sleep on my front as I keep a pressure/pain in painful abdomen areas, but once I'm asleep I'm fine.
So this is what I've had so far... 3 trips to a&e since January, FIT test result at 2 in February, FIT test result 15.1 in march then sent for colonoscopy which came back clear, when they reached my lower right side I nearly shot of the bed, it was excruciating!! It was the pain I get but on steroids, they had to sedate me again and give me gas & air to which I used all up! I was sobbing, they said it must of been where they expanded my colon in that area, but yet they couldn't see anything. FIT test just done this week and it's come back at 31.6. I have had regular blood tests monthly because one minute my lymphocytes are above normal and white blood cells, next month's they have settled but red bloods are below normal, now the have gone back to normal and white blood cells have dropped but in normal range, MCH is above normal and neutrophils are on bottom line. No one knows what is going on, I'm being pushed from place to place and each consultant for departments keep passing me off to each other. GP found raised lymph nodes in neck and I have an enlarged one in my right side groin which has been there for about 2years, GP didn't seem concerned and said they are probably just raised reactive lymph node glands.
I go from very soft bowel movements, to being constipated then back again. Blood which I don't see regularly but visible in FIT test, thick solid green/orange lumps of mucus. For me it's the pain I'm in and generally feeling unwell. I never know if I'm going to wake up and feel poorly. I have also had a KUB CT scan, originally it was requested that I have a full abdomen and pelvic with contrast CT scan, but this was refused by the radiologist as he didn't think it was suitable?! I'm just so fed up with feeling like this as it's impacting my daily life, having 3 children and with working. When I have my really unwell days, we all feel the effects. Any advice or anyone that has experienced similar I would be very grateful.
Thank you x
