Last summer I had terrible pain in lower right side and bloating. Doctor called to say that CA125 level was slightly raised at 40. Urgent referral under two week rule and they found a small cyst and a fibroid. Another scan a few weeks later showed cyst had gone. Things settled but I've been having an ongoing pain in same area for a few weeks now. Had my tubes tied 3 years ago and my periods are horrendous, bad pain with them and heavy enough to need to use a tampon and a pad for first 2-3 days. I've been taking tranexamic acid and mefenamic acid for awhile now which does help. Doctor repeated CA125 test couple of weeks ago and called to say she was a little concerned that my level is currently 70. So on two week referral again. I'm trying not to worry too much as I know it's probably fibroid. Think it's the waiting and not knowing. I'm 45 and hope I'm not set with this recurring again and again. Anyone had similar?
