I am 35 years old, 4 months ago i lost around 10 kg of weight (i was 60 kg and in one month i weighted 50kg).
i put this down due to extreme stress as i have just lost my best friend and it really broke me down. I havent even got around their death yet (nay they RIP).
i started to have night sweats and enlarged lymph nodes around my body. I went to the GP who examined me and found other lumps i didnt know about and was reffered to ENT.
ENT had me do ultrasound and it cane back clear, my lymph nodes are "reactive" due to something else but not cancerous.
My GP just realised i have family history of Colon cancer and asked me if i had other symtoms. I informed them of changing bowl habbits for the last year and a half. He asked me to get a stool test done at home.
i was called today to go to see my GP as my test came back ubnormal, the FIT test was toohigh accodring to the GP i scored 600. I did ask what is the normal results are and was told max 50. My result are too high my GP reffered me to get an urgent colonscopy.
After the initial cancer scare i was relieved it could be thyroid or lymphoma as it have high survival rate and can be cured.
but i am extremly worried it could be colon cancer, family members that have it are having it really hard. Their battle against cancer have completely changed how they look and made them unable to care for their family and needing care themselves.
this is heartbreaking to me as i live here all by myself and i have 2 young boys to look after, one of my boys have a disability so really i cannot be that sick to not be able to look after him and his brother.
my mind is running wild with worry. I just dont know what to do, what is next.
anyone experience with very high FIT results ?
