Hi everyone my husband has been constantly clearing his throat and has developed a hoarseness to his voice over the last year. He's been prescribed antibiotics and nasal sprays over this time. Over the last few months he has noticed what he thinks is a lump in his voice box area. Then last week he started getting pain and being unable to swallow properly even water is hard to go down. He went back to dr yesterday and was given more antibiotics even though dr said his throat wasn't red. My worry is my husbands dad died of throat cancer and his brother had it too. Should we wait for the urgent referal or go private. I'm so scared and to be honest I think he is very worried too. Any advice will be greatly appreciated
