  • Hello Lil1234 and a big welcome to Cancer Chat,

I am sorry to hear that your CA125 test has come back a bit raised. It is normal to be worried but try not to anticipate the worst as CA125 levels can be raised for many other reasons. Hopefully the ultrasound on Monday will shed some light on what is causing these symptoms.

I hope that you will meet others here who have experienced similar symptoms and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you. It won't be long now until you have your ultrasound and all you can do in the meantime is wait which is by no means easy. Try and stay well away from the temptation of Dr Google as this will only make you more anxious. There are helpful tips on this page to help you cope while waiting for important news.

Keeping everything crossed for you that it all turns out to be nothing of concern.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello Lil1234

I have been having pelvic, back, heartburn issues for a bit also and asked my doctor for a ca125 test yesterday so I will prob get results next week.  I'm also very worried and found some other posts on here like 'scared ovarian diagnosis' giving more info on people's experiences. I think you just don't know anything until you have a scan as there are so many things it could be.

Let me know how you get on.

  • Hi Lil1234

i had a pink discharge that my Dr examined me after my urine test didn’t show any infection just small amount of blood in it I had also been suffering with sciatica in my right side of back at the bottom my buttock, leg from my thigh into my right knee at the side and shin, after the internal examination she said it looked sore and she could see pink discharge and discharge she said she would send a blood test to see if My cancer markers were raised could be  ovarian cancer my cancer markers came back raised not sure how high so was sent for transvaginal scan which showed my womb was thicker than they would like 24mm and should be about 4 mm but my ovary was fine it all happened within a week then sent to the gynaecologist for biopsy the following week the Dr there took biopsies which was very painful most women  I have spoken to say the same she said she could feel growths it was cancer and quite bad so I had quite a shock the biopsy confirmed this so was sent for CT scan to see where the cancer had started from as they couldn’t decide if it was womb cervix Bowel or vagina turns out it was womb but more bad news it had spread to pelvis under breastbone and multiple nodules in both lungs but it was treatable and I am having my last round of chemo on Tues then another CT scan on May 15th to c how it’s worked but there is more treatment if it hasn’t they’re also testing for Lynch Syndrome as I had Bowel cancer 9 years ago and they could be connected for this which is genetic if so I can have immune therapy if not I can still have other treatment but hopefully this chemo has worked it has been a rollercoaster this journey I hope yours is ok my ca125 is now in normal range 34 normal is up to 35, I’m here if u need to ask anymore questions good luck with yr scan

    Kind regards

nanabear I am so sorry to hear that you had cancer and I just hope u are on the mend to recovery it must have been so hard for you you seem like a very strong woman you should be proud of yourself. My symptoms are abdominal bloating sometimes I look 4 months pregnant and it is very visible to see as I am very small and finely made up, throughout the days sometimes I get shooting pains in my side which only last for a second at a time and I get pains in my pelvic area going around to my back , I been feeling so nauseous recently to the point where I feel like I am going to throw up but never do , I have been feeling flutters in my abdomen almost like I am pregnant as I have 2 baby's and the feeling is the exact same , I am so confused and scared and just hope this scan comes back clear and it is something not so serious , I will let yous know how I get on tomarrow thank you are all for taken the time to reply to me.

    thank you ️

  • Good luck for your scan [@Lil1234]‍ I hope you get positive news.

I too have the nausea at times also pelvic, back and hip pain. I have had some nights sweats too. I veer between telling myself it's crazy perimenopause symptoms then being convinced it's cancer. Not knowing what's going on is hard. I have a 9 Yr old son and just want to be around for him as long as possible.
