What a great question! I lost sensation in both breasts due to bilateral breast cancer in the aftermath of reconstructive surgery, I wasn't warned about this possibility, However, the nerves did repair and the sensation came back after a couple of months, although one breast still has less sensation than the other after 4 years post op.
