My Partner saw his GP about 4 weeks ago in regards to headaches tiredness and coughing up a little bit of blood, He was given a serious of blood tests, & asked to go to our local Hospital for a chest X-ray, 2 weeks ago his GP rang to say that something had flagged up on his x-ray, & his platelet count was high, while his B12 was low. So he decided he would fast track him for a CT Scan which occurred on the 9th of April, Yesterday while taking a break from work he nipped home for coffee and got a call from our Local Hospital asking him to go to see a respiratory specialist on Friday, (I'm under the impression) respiratory Specialists can give you Cancer news?? AM I RIGHT/WRONG?? Today he received a text from the Hospital asking him to look at the link they sent it says he's to take all his meds with him he takes for other things as he will be seeing a Team Grrrrr, although I didn't say what I was thinking, I was THINKING, I know what's coming here I have cried ever since . I am absolutely convinced he is going to get awful news. Not only did a very very close friend lose his life to lung cancer. My Step Father did too, although my mum was the one taken into a room to see the team who gave her the news as my step dad was too ill on a ward at the time. (3.20pm) He passed that evening at (8.10pm) so very quick, My heart is pounding and hurting like never before, i can't imagine living without him we are in the process of organising our wedding which is in August. So our lives are meant to be starting together not potentially ending, He is so so very optimistic (love that about him). I wish my thoughts were not so negative. ATM it's only Him Myself His best mate and my 3 grown up children that are aware, I feel completely alone as I don't have anyone to talk to or to hold me up am I over analysing it all or is my instincts right?? Hmm I think I know the replies thT will come. I would prefer the truth and no sugar coated stuff, I would prefer to be a little prepared for Friday, regardless of news as All Bridges will be crossed if we arrive at them. Thank you. X
