Severe groin pain . Ultrasound scan

I have had many gynaecological problems over the years. Thickening endometriosis adenomyosis various amounts of cysts with one large one removed along with my ovary. I had Ovarian remnant syndrome too.

Had a ultrasound scan on Friday and was meant to have a transvaginal one too. Their toilet was blocked so couldn't complete the scan.

She told me my kidney's were fine but was shocked when I told her I didnt have a left ovary.

I said I hope you didn't see one did you but she didn't reply directly to that.

Now I'm worried as to what she did see

Has anyone else has this?

I previously had an emergency op where two pathologista thought I had cancer and one didnt so now I'm worried again.

  • Hi LealeaN and welcome to the forum.

I'm very sorry to hear about the various gynaecological issues you've had over the years and for the worry your recent ultrasound has caused.

I know it's difficult, but try not to read too much in to this. Easier said than done I know, but many of our members know how easy it can be to over-analyse things that turn out to mean nothing at all, so if you can, try to put this to the back of your mind and keep yourself busy until your results come through.

Waiting for news is always a challenging and anxious time but I hope the tips and advice given in this article will help keep your nerves at bay until you know more.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k LeaLeaN.

    Kind regards,
