Hi was wondering if anyone could tell me how long they waited for results after there had been a mdt meeting. Biopsy was 4 weeks ago on Monday so nearly 5 and mdt meeting was Tuesday and still not heard anything.
I had a breast biopsy this Wednesday just gone and they made an appointment there and then for two weeks after the test to go in and get the results. From reading around on the internet that seems to be fairly average. (I don't know your situation though - this was my first test of this kind.) 5 weeks sounds quite long and it must be really difficult for you to wait that long with no news! It's bad they didn't at least give you an idea when you would hear back. I guess it could be a good sign that they haven't rushed you back in - but I think it's definitely more than justified to chase them up and try to find out what's happening.
I phoned the hospital a week past Monday and the secretary told me my case was going infront of mdt next Tuesday, which was Tuesday just past and she told me I would get a letter or phone call after that. Think I'm going to phone Monday and see if I can find out.
Yes that sounds like a good idea - even if they can just at least give you some indication when you will hear. That sounds so stressful that they've been so vague. Best of luck - I hope the result will be good news
Oh no, sorry to hear that Nic20. Six weeks is so long and it's frustrating that you can't even get to speak to the secretary. I hope you hear something soon. I wonder if your GP would contact them for you, or I've seen people on the forum mention PALS looking into things, but I don't really know anything about it.
