Hi, I am just looking for some help/advice from anyone who could maybe advise what their symptoms were with cervical or uterine/womb cancer please?

I posted on here last year as I started getting some mild tummy discomfort in Oct 2020. My mother had a recurrence of ovarian cancer at the time and was in and out of stays in hospital, so I was very stressed. At the beginning of 2021 my mum was at end of life stage with ovarian cancer and we were looking after her at home. I was still having some tummy discomfort and it was in Jan 21 I had a day of spotting, then a couple of times in Feb. I lost my mum at beginning of March 21. I contacted the doctor at the time as I was concerned maybe I was getting ovarian cancer. They did blood tests and I had a CA125 test which was 25 level in April last year. I had an ultrasound on my ovaries and I was told they appeared normal, although I was meant to have a transvaginal, I was unable to tolerate this. (I am actually gay and never slept with a man before, so I don’t do well with anything like that!). Anyway, I had a bit of spotting sort of on and off up to July last year, not very often. From August to Dec last year, I had 5 months of ‘normal’ monthly periods with no spotting during this time, so I put stuff to back of my mind and we were also moving house so was quite stressed again etc.

However, in Jan this year I had a day of pink spotting again. I have always had a few problems with periods over the years, I once went 5 months many years ago without one! I am 38 now. Then about a month ago, I started spotting about 7 days after my last period, and this went on for 3 days, one day stopped, then 1 more day. I also had quite a bit of tummy discomfort and I do still have this on and off. It’s really been the last week where I have felt mainly ‘normal’ again. I have been prone to having tummy type issues throughout my life, like a bit of bloating etc, but this has been like a crampy pain, and sometimes on the left side more. I end up taking Zapain for pain which I still get on prescription for a jaw issue I had a few years ago. I guess I am also just desperately hoping maybe it’s some other issue like endometriosis or something.

I have contacted the doctor and told them my symptoms about 3 weeks ago and best they could do is give me a phone appointment next week! I am very worried as I think there must be something bad wrong as prior to last year I never had spotting in my life! I have also never had a smear :( unfortunately I was wrongly told years ago that as I was gay I didn’t really need to have one, so I kind of just went with it. I know now that HPV can be transferred through anyone, and I’m worried I may have picked it up. I feel now that because this has been going on over a year that something has advanced. My health anxiety is quite bad anyway.

Does anyone know if a high CA125 result can also be an indicator of cervical/womb cancer?

Is spotting with cervical or womb cancer constant or can it just be sporadic? Would abdominal pain also be pretty much constant?

Like I said, this week I’ve felt kind of my usual self, but just worried on spotting/pain returning.
