Worrying lump vagina

Pre covid....when inserting tampons I felt some resistance, I had a feel inside and felt a large, movable fleshy lump (uneven and lumpy) I visited my GP who gave md a internal. She assessed it was the remains of my Hymen, as a 40plus women this was broken a long time ago. I accepted her assessment even though I had never had the resistance to tampons being entered before. The lump I feel has gotten bigger and more uneven. I have no other symptoms but feel concerned it could be some form of vaginal cancer. Any advice

  • I would make a gp appointment to have it checked so you can be referred to gynaecology if needed, you are the only one who can say if it's getting larger. I would like it checked if in your situation for peace of mind. Is it uncomfortable, or just there when you use tampons,

making a note of anything you need answers for before seeing your doctor helps, as we all forget as soon as we walk in the door and say hi everything is fine.
    take care
