Breast and rib pain

Hello. For the past few months my boobs were extremely itchy and felt full and sore with barely any relief. Now they're just extremely sore the pain has spread over my ribs, I've also got a lump in my left breast and one just under the right breast almost on the rib cage. Has anybody experience anything like this I have an appointment with the breast clinic in a couple of weeks but I'm going out of mind every day wondering what it is. I'm 29 and really worried.

    Sorry you find yourself here but I hope you find support and information from the forum. 

    I cannot comment directly as my symptoms were different from yours but just wanted to wish you luck for your appointment at the breast clinic. The waiting is the hardest part so hang in there! You're not alone xx

    Hi Mango-92,

    A very warm welcome to our forum. 

    PositiceT is right, waiting is definitely one of the hardest parts of our cancer journey. This is largely because we are dealing with the unknown and, as a result, our imaginations go into overdrive. Not all lumps are cancerous and breast cancer is seldom accompanied by pain. Many people develop benign cysts or have hormonal or fibrous changes in their breasts.  Cysts can be drained if they are large and this usually offers relief. 

    I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years and had no pain on either occasion. I just found a lump each time.

    You have done the right thing by getting these changes investigated and, I sincerely hope that all turns out well for you. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
