Hi , been reading thought some post on here and have given some hope . I've been having long and heavy periods since Christmas , I've alway suffered with heavy monthly's but the started to drag on for 10 days or more stop for a day or 2 and than start for another 10 /14 days . End of feb I decided after bleeding  for 3 weeks I should go and see gp, half thinking I was wasting their time and it is all normal for my age (I'm 51 in June ) . But she did an internal and some swabs and said she wanted me to have a internal scan which I did a week later .This showed fibroids and a cyst on my left ovary A week after that I received an appointment for a hysteroscopy (camera into womb ) and a ca125 blood test . They removed a large polyp and said I had a number of fibroids and  a slight thinking of the womb . I have had a phone called today that has put the fear of god in me . My ca 125 levels at 345 which I know is very high , the dr did try and calm me by saying other things could cause rise this number not just cancer but that's all I can think of . I have a CT booked for this Saturday and consultant appoint the week after to tell me what's what , I don't know how I'm going to get though these next few weeks , my poor husband and son are trying to hold it together for me but are very worried .

hope you dont mind me replying to your post . Your situation is very much similar to mine except i have no symptoms periods regular no irregular bleeding, ive had ultrasound, tranvaginal and MRI done cyst was found but suspected bengin as no signs of cancer. But ive had my ca125 done and its come very high similar result to yours, can i ask how you got on and what happened next as theyve told me there discussing my results at MDT meeting and we will set a plan from there. I apologise for messaging you just very worried as im a single mum 39 years old and im panicking for my daughter. I would appreciate any advise you have to offer me ️
