Rectal bleeding stopped after two weeks

Hubby had been bleeding maroon blood for two long weeks

Fit test - 400

Dark coloured stool - bad smell - dragging feeling in stomach - blood when wiping

Yesterday he said his stool wasn't 100% . More pasty but no blood when he wiped

Today everything is back to normal

No stomach dragging. No blood. Normal colour stool

Is this a good sign. If it was cancer would it just stop like this ?

He had a ct scan yesterday . Colonoscopy next thursday

Sorry to hear you are both going through this massive worry.
Not long to wait for the colonoscopy, hopefully your husband will get the results on the day.

The laxative didn't work 100% so he has to have another one in two weeks as they couldn't see the upper part of his intestine as clearly as they wanted to but they're pretty sure that the bleeding was caused by internal haemorrhoids and he also has diverticular disease.
I'll be a lot happier after the second test but so far so good
