Fainting, chest and stomach pain, unable to exercise

I don't know if anyone has had the same symptoms, it is being dealt with but as we all know, tests take ages in the UK and I am really scared. I have been fainting a lot in the past months. It started with being bloated for weeks, I had constant nausea... I am normally a healthy 36 years old, I hike 50 miles per week, run 3 times 30 minutes per week, over the past 2 months I had to stop running as the last time I did I had to stop as my belly was swollen and could not breath and started to had chest pains, I saw my gp and was told that I was just anxious and had dangerously high blood pressure( 150/97) on average and just had to loose weight. I went on a diet and eat healthy but it gets worse, I hike 3 times a week, the first time it happened I was hiking for two hours and had the same issue as when I was running, could not swallow or breath, I had to cough and lie down in the middle of nowhere. This happened another two times till now I cannot even go out for 20 minutes without having this pain, this problem swallowing where I feel like someone is ripping my organs out of my chest. I was taken to A&E 2 weeks ago from work as I collapsed, blood pressure was 160/107, low oxygen 80%, no heart attack could be seen on the xray and the doctors did not know what was going on, they sent me home the same day saying that I had to ask my gp for a heart effort test which I asked. Anyway  now I have been shaking for the past 3 days  have pain in the stomach area and have constant panic attacks when it happens, my blood pressure shoots up and I feel terrible.

Another thing is that when I push for the toilets most days, I feel like I am going to collapse and when I check my blood pressure it goes up to 170/100 which is weird.

The symptoms I have now are :I feel faint when pushing for the toilets, blurry vision, headaches and my belly keeps swelling, very weak legs, problem swallowing and chest/stomach pain when walking( often a couple of hours after food)

oh and also waiting for an ultrasound as a cyst appeared under my foot a few months after breaking it.

I know it is a lot to read but things are worse by the day.

  • Hello Jon36,

I'm sorry to hear about your symptoms. The best thing to do is to keep your doctor updated about these problems, if you haven't already. When you are worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to look for answers online, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. And the only person that can diagnose you is your doctor. Try to rest and I hope your appointment comes around soon.

    Best wishes,
