Lumps in groin

Hi,

I'm 31 year old male

I found a lump that was hard and not really moveable. Went to my GP who sent me fur a blood test and ultrasound. Blood test was clear (don't know what blood test was ordered). I was told at the ultrasound (by the time of the ultrasound there were 5 swollen lymph nodes either side of the groin) to book an appointment at the back end of this week to discuss my results with my GP. I have no other symptoms and no sign of infection.

What are the chances that these will go down and that this is nothing serious? Has anyone else had anything similar.

Thanks,

Sam

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently found some lumps which the GP arranged an ultrasound for. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about what these may be. We know that for many people this period of uncertainty whilst waiting for test results can be particularly difficult.

I hope that you've been able to book your GP appointment for later this week and that they will be able to give you some answers and reassurance about things. If there is anything that you want to speak to our nurses about you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
