Thy3

I had and ultrasound due to enlarged lymph nodes. They found a goiter so sent me for a fna in aug. Results were hypoechoic and thy2 . Needed a repeat fna which was done Feb and come back thy3.

They have now said I need to choose to wait and repeat scans and fna every 3-6 months or just take it out. But if there is any changes it will have to come out anyway. Has anyone had similar and what was your experiences please.

  • Thank you. Trying to stay hopeful but it's hard. I think I was really lucky with my surgery as I didn't even have any paracetamol after. It was sore and bruised and tender but bearable and I was able to eat a sandwich when I got back to the ward. They told me not to do anything that would strain it. I was able to drive a few days after. I didn't take anything different to hospital, just pyjamas and dressing gown and magazines to read. It seems to be healing quite well now. For me the thought of the surgery was far worse than the actual procedure
