Large right ovary, pain

Hi, i have been suffering in pain all week with right sided pain, was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis but on further exploration they referred me to see a gynaecologist yesterday and they have advised my right ovary is larger than normal, im now worried as they are sending me for a CT Scan as they said they need to check all is ok . I have been experiencing numbness in my right leg and my foot too and im in constant pain, has anyone else had similar symptoms?

UPDATE due ct scan on monday 4th April, still in pain, feeling a bit upset but hopefully get answers

  • Hi Lolly985,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of your situation - I can understand this must be unsettling. I hope it's not too long to wait for the scan and any results that follow as I appreciate the uncertainty must be making things more difficult.

Hopefully you'll receive further replies to your post soon, particularly if there are others here with similar experience to share. You can also try browsing or searching the forum if you would like to explore other discussions on here.

Take care and wishing you all the best,

  • Hi Lolly,

I have been going through something similar, so can definitely empathise, though I'm not sure how much wisdom I have to share

I am booked in for MRI scans later this week as a recent CT scan picked up thickening and shadowing around my left ovary, where I have been struggling with pain for months  I also have extreme bloating (waist increase of 11 inches in 2-3 months) and have had a few bouts of leg tingling/numbness on that side the same as you.

Waiting for answers is the worst, so I hope you get your scan appointment quickly.

In the meantime, sending a virtual hug.

    Baz x

  • Thank you for replying, yes its a scary time, trying to act normal with the kids and back to work today with pain management, my ca125 was negative so hoping for the best, i hope all is ok with you too, sending virtual hugs back

  • Hi there, I know it's been a while since you posted, just wondered how you were doing? I'm having similar symptoms to you and wondered how you were? X
