Hi everyone. I've had pain in the lymph nodes on both sides of my groin for almost 2 years now. The pain in my inner thighs is unbearable! I can feel my lymph nodes, they feel harder than they should but I'm not sure how big they are, they don't feel massive just really really painful.
I've seen numerous doctors and only 1 has actually agreed with me that they feel swollen and that was the first doctor I saw, unfortunately every time I've been back I've seen a different doctor. I've been in the room with them many times crying my eyes out but they just seem to fob me off.
I was sent to a orthopedic because they thought it could be hip problems but I had a mri scan without contrast that showed nothing wrong with my muscles or bones. Would this type of mri pick up any problems with the lymph nodes or do you need contrast to see them?
My bloodwork comes back ok.
I'm also seeing a neurologist because ever since this pain started in my groin I've been having persistent pins and needles and twitching in my legs and feet. But all tests came back clear and they have put it down to restless legs.
I'm terrified its cancer, if it was a infection it would have gone away by now. If it was a groin strain it also would of gone away. At first they said it was groin strain because it hurts to move my legs the creases into my groin are that swollen, but I didn't do anything when this started. We were in lockdown and I just woke up one morning and it felt like a bomb had gone off in the left side of my groin/inner thigh. 2 weeks later it started on the other side of my groin.
It feels like my nodes are burning, they are so sore and nobody's listening to me. I don't know what to do next or where to turn.
Can anyone please help me? Does this sound like it could be cancer? Thank you
