Possible skin cancer

I have been referred to the hospital for an unusual looking mole on my leg for which the appointment is next week.

I've recently had a course of antibiotics for tonsillitis which cleared up but for about a week now my throat has really been hurting to the point it hurts to talk, eat and drink although there is no infection or anything. My ears are also hurting alot. 

If it was skin cancer on my leg, could this be a sign of spread to my lymph nodes?

    Hi, so sorry to hear that you're having to go through this horrible waiting period too. I have my skin cancer assessment next week as well. As it happens, I'm a therapy radiographer so my job is treating cancer with radiotherapy. :)

    The lymph nodes often affected  are those nearby the site of disease. It doesn't really sound like disease spread symptoms or like it would be related to be honest, but do discuss your concerns with a GP or in your appointment next week if you are worried and they will likely be able to put you at ease. :)

    Thank you so much for getting back to me I'm sorry to hear you're also going through this, it's a really worrying time and to have support and advice from people 'in the know' is really great so thank you so much I have an appointment with the GP tomorrow so hopefully they can shed some light I think I'm just being silly and spending too much time on Google which is the complete opposite advice I give to other people lol I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the both of us xx
