Boyfriend has possible testicular cancer

Hello,

my boyfriend (27) had a lump on this left testicle. He went to the doctors and was booked in for an ultrasound (Wednesday last week). The initial lump was nothing to worry about but they have found an internal lump on the right, which they appear to be worried about.

The hospital called him on Friday to arrange a blood test and then called yesterday to book him in to see the urologist next Monday, so will all have happened within around a week and a half.

Is this a bad sign? We're hoping for the best but the urgency is telling me that it's not good news. Does anyone have any experience of this and can shed some light?

thank you in advance! ️

  • Hi B.Mac and welcome to the community.

I know it's tough, but try not to assume the worst if you can. Always much easier said than done, but it could be as simple as the hospital having cancellations and being able to see your boyfriend sooner.

Our members know how difficult this time can be so I'm sure some of them will be along soon to offer their support and share their experiences with you but in the meantime, we're thinking of you and wishing your boyfriend all the best for next week.

If either of you would like to discuss any of this with our nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,
