Hi all I'm just posting this to anyone who is worried about a high reading result  with your ca125 test

A few weeks ago I was petrified my reading came back at 68 so was fast tracked for an ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound scan. Im 53 and perimenopausel,  When I got the results they revealed fibroids , although they couldn't see my right ovary as they do get smaller as we age the sonographer want too worried as she said it ws hiding behind my bladder the left one looked fine for my age ( the size of a peanut apparently!) but normal size for someone about to enter the menopause. I'm now waiting for a laproscopy to look at my right ovary just to rule things out.  I have been referred by my Dr to see a gynaecologist but he also said they maybe happy with my results and a laproscopy may not be needed.

So please try not to worry until you've had all the relevant tests there are other reasons for high levels .
