Where do I start.....
so, 2022, I've just recently received my screening results - HPV positive and inconclusive abnormal cell test - need another test in 3 months.
now on the letter it mentions about certain symptoms and if you have them to go to GP sooner.
prior to my screening, I have complained about pain & bleeding after sex, and more recently (and for me the worst) a new strange discharge.
GP gave me some antibiotics and that was that. I have zero concerns about STIs (so that's ruled out) so you can imagine my now worry with the recent screening results.
now here's the biggest concern.....
I checked on 'my gp' app to see if the results had been updated on there, to not only find my recent results but also my screening results from 2017 that says - Sereve Dyskaryosis
I had no clue about this result (never even heard of it before) and if I remember rightly (it was a while ago) I received a letter to say all was fine and continue with 3 yearly screenings as normal.
so now I'm terrified, because it's been 5 years with these abnormal cells that I was totally unaware of, to now having not great symptoms and to top it off, HPV positive and inconclusive abnormal cell result.
I honestly do not know what to do now??
Am I just over panicking here?
I dont want to have to have unessessary tests if I don't need them, and if I go back to GP before 3 months I think they will send me for them, but I really don't want that unless I really, really need it.
Plus I'm so scared of the outcome, with me not knowing for all this time.
I just don't know what to do.
Sorry for such a long post and thank you if you have taken the time to read it all.
