I gave birth 16 weeks ago and when the midwife was stitching me up she noticed my cervix looked "abnormal" so she called in a consultant to have a look. The consult told me that it was imperative that I have a smear test done and that I should get it done in 6 weeks time (Gp refused to do this as apparently results would be inconclusive having it done that soon after giving birth) I've also been placed on the gunacologist list as priority and am now due to be seen next week, but I'm petrified! What could be the reason for an abnormal cervix? Obviously CC is playing on my mind but I have zero symptoms. Has anyone else been told they have an abnormal cervix and what was your outcome please xx
