Worried about possibility of pancreatic cancer

Hi guys iv had ongoing acid reflux following 2 h-pylori infections around  14 and 9 years ago.

iv had small stomach issues now and again since but i have self medicated 30mg lansoprazole since my 2nd infection.

i contracted the omricon variant of covid in early january and my only symptoms were a stomach ache and some nausea.

around 4 weeks ago i start getting a constant dull ache and alot of nausea. since this i have lost abit of weight but not eating anywere near what i normally do.

i had an attempted endoscopy two days ago but panicked bad and they had to abort. im scheduled for a barium swallow in around 4 weeks.

now after googling the symptoms lead me to possible PC i have massively worked myself up.

symptoms

loose stools but normal in color but only in the morning, then constipated for the rest of the day.

back ache between shoulder blades.

two very distincts pain spots on abdomen, if i press it hurts and feel like a bruise. one above and to the right of the naval and one below and to the right.

constant nausea

feels like acidic gas in my throat and mouth

tounge seems a little swollen and coated in white ( been like that for 2 months)

what advice can the more experianced users give as i am 31 and not really had much interactions with medical pros. it has been a nightmare to even see my gp. really worried at the moment.

thanks guys

  • Hi zb1990,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the recent issues you've been experiencing.

It's very hard to advise on symptoms - the only place to really get answers is from your doctor or medical team. You mention you have another appointment coming up - this is good as it will be an opportunity to get some further information, as well as for you to raise any continuing concerns you may have at that point.

Try to make the most of any upcoming appointments - discuss your concerns, ask any questions, and aim to get the answers you need.

In the meantime it's best to avoid looking on Google for answers, as the information is so general, often irrelevant, and only tends to increase worries.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben

  • thought I'd post an update to this, I got fobbed off by the gps so had a private mrcp done in March, that was clear but symptoms have persisted since then.

went back to the gp last week and they have referred me for another endoscopy but this time with sedation. I guess a clear mrcp and same level of symptoms since then provide some reassurance that nothing is growing and spreading but the nausea has really taken it out of me and I just want to know what's going on.

will update after I have my endoscopy
