Having hpv in itself doesn’t produce symptoms, so there is unlikely to be a connection to that. 

Are you googling symptoms by any chance and coming up with cervical cancer when you say you are thinking the worst?

You say you did not have abnormal cells, which means the HPV hasn’t caused any cell damage, and having HPV doesn’t mean you will ever necessarily get cancer. That’s the point of attending screenings, to identify early cell changes. You can get hip/leg pain with cervical cancer in my experience, but you can also get pains in your hips/legs/thinghs for many other reasons which are nothing to do with cancer, so it’s difficult to compare yourself with anyone else.

I think if you are getting anxious about these thighs pains then you could make a gp appointment for a chat and some reassurance. x

Thanks for ur reply yea I googled tigh pain related to cervical cancer and it came up saying it was a symptom, I have myself driven mad to.what could be causing the pain its right from the top of my legs so that's why I was assuming it was linked to cervical cancer x

Please don’t google...it will make your anxiety so much worse and cannot tell you what is wrong. 

Almost all cervical cancer is caused by the HPV virus which initially makes the cervical cells abnormal before it progresses further. It’s very encouraging that you don’t have abnormal cells, and hopefully your body will be able to clear the HPV virus itself. 

Having the virus has maybe shocked you when you got your smear results, and it’s leading you down all sorts of rabbit holes on google. The vast majority of people who have ever been sexually active will have come into contact with the virus and most won’t even know they have it. It’s only when  it causes issues like cell changes that it can become a problem, but you’ve said you don’t have abnormal cells so you should be reassured by that. x
