HPV positive and. Some cell change. Names borderline changes

I recently received HPV positive result with. Some cell change named borderline change . They booked colposcopy appointment for me 2 week after. Does anybody has any experience.?

It was shock for me because, I have just one partner, my husband  during my life, I never smoked,  has just one baby and I am just 29 years old.  my husband had partners before me but it was at about 15 years ago .  I have quite good immune system and I don't really understand why this virus is not clear if I get it from my first sex. It was 10 years ago with my husband.  Sometimes I think that it is the mistake , because  I read sometimes test is false, if person had recent vaginal infection.

Does anybody has similar experience and hot iw was gone after.  Is it change that I with borderline change I already have cancer.

Please , I worry so much as I have 2.5 years old daughter :(. I am abroad from my native country and my child doesn't has nobody here to care with her :( if something is bad will happen about me :(

  • Hello Teona

I'm sorry to hear that your recent cervical screening results have shown that you are HPV+ and that there are some borderline changes. We have many women post here on the forum who have similar results and we know that it can be worrying news to receive.

Cell changes mean that the cells are abnormal but are not cancer cells. Many, many women have HPV+ and cell changes each year and after treatment have no further problems. Please try to remain positive about your results and don't worry.

There's lots of information about HPV, cell changes, and colposcopy on the Jo's Trust website which you may want to have a look at. I'd really encourage you to give their helpline a call and talk things through with them. I'm sure they will be able to give you some information and advice that will help reassure you ahead of your appointment.

    I hope this helps.

    Best wishes,
