Streak of blood in sputum, don't remember coughing, happened twice 6 weeks apart. Clear my throat alot. Exsmoker, 10ish a day for 20 years. Scared it might be cancer but too scared to get checked.
I am sorry to hear you've seen this streak of blood and that it happened twice six weeks apart. Try not to assume this is cancer as there are so many other things it could be but it is important to flag this with your doctor who will have the expertise to tell you more.
I can understand why you are feeling nervous about getting it checked but I think it would be worth going to your GP about this and telling your doctor in detail what happened. Do tell them that you are an ex smoker too as this is something they will want to know.
